I just can't describe how nervous I am. Words fail me. Can you imagine? Me!

Despite having my manhood challenged by such a scary enterprise, I'm actually looking forward to this. Really looking forward to it. I feel my spirit lifted every time I think about the everlasting rain of happiness that comes after the completion of this sacred mission. I yearn for it to conclude.

The path is set. I know what I have to do and I'm gonna need every ounce of energy I've got to get this done.

It's the same old, same old story again. I don't know why I even bothered making a big deal out of it. It's not like it wasn't expected. It's not like it's never happened before. It won't matter how aggravated I get, the only solution I can think of that'll guarantee the firmness of my sanity is to just let it be.

Yup.

But this is not me giving up. This is me saying that I'll do what I can with what I've been given. It sucks, but you can't undo mistakes that were caused other people's lack of sense. Well, it's crazy to hope for people to be thoughtful when it is clear that in history, their sense of judgment had always been proven to be most unreliable.

Call them what you want. Smokes, fags, cigs, ciggies, darts, tabs, dubs, durries, rollies, doobies, derms, squares, cancer sticks, coffin nails... they are what they are. There are more names for them in different slangs, depending on where you are. And because of that, incidentally, wherever you are, it is almost impossible not to find them.

Hate them or love them, no matter what your opinions on them might be, they are indeed a force to be reckoned with. Buildings are cemented. Roads get tarred. Vegetables are grown, fishes are caught and then sold in markets. Stuff get made. Businesses run. People get paid. Humanity survives. The earth moves. Even now as you're reading this, the world is basically running on them. Like fuel. It's probably a bit idealistic to say that perhaps our planet can't even keep going without them. And yet, among other things, they are also the cause of its suffering. Haha.. reality and fate it seems, is not without a sense of irony.

Yesterday I got the chance to read a bunch of articles, all centering on how academics in various countries found traces of pig blood in cigarettes which acts as a filter for those dangerous chemical substances you've heard about before. Now my Muslim brethren, don't be alarmed because they haven't confirmed this yet, but if you're already pinching your face vigorously to wake up from this nightmare, I don't blame you. People say ignorance is bliss. But in a slight contradiction, we all know that knowledge is power. Stuck right there in the middle of those two very different things is something disturbing that we all like to call uncertainty. It's a major pain in the ass. ^_^ "Do you or don't you?"

Now I'm not an evangelist of either sides. But I do have my opinions. A majority of my closest friends are smokers. Once or twice, they've asked me the lingering questions. "Why don't you smoke?" "Are you scared of death?" "Are you gonna live forever?" "Ko ingat ko baik sangat ke?" Haha.. some of them, I'm afraid, still can't see the simple truth. That I just don't like them. Still, I don't see any reason to pester those close to me about it. My arwah Abah was a heavy smoker. But I still respected him and I've never thrown any crap at him for it. I've endured years of my school uniform smelling like shit, for crying out loud. But I'm still here with my sanity intact. When you can't beat them, you don't have to join them. Just be strong and do your thing.

Imagine you're a rocker stuck in a job at a factory where the majority of the workers are fanatic fans of dangdut. Haha.. now I have nothing against dangdut by the way. Even M. Nasir, my favorite musician made some of those in his earlier years. Anyway, back to my point. So you're a rocker, stuck in a job at a factory with dangdut lovers. Your supervisor loves it. Friends you go to lunch with love it. People you pass by on your way to the loo love it. Even the guy that pays you to do your job sings along every day as he turns up the volume for the whole floor to indulge in. Every single day. You're stuck. Now you can either choose to live your life in agony, or be a man and just do your thing. You can't hate people for loving what they love. If there's nothing you can do (or are willing to do), then endure. It's a no-brainer.

It's bullshit to say that your hygiene hangs in the balance when you smoke. Some people go to great lengths to smoke and still be clean. Hand sanitizers anyone? But you have to agree, the amount of effort you will have to make to stay clean and smoke cigarettes at the same time will be huge. And redundant.

I could care less if someday the whole world becomes a large network of societies consisting of cigarette smokers. Maybe someday I might even need to wear a gas mask every time I go out. I'm willing to accept that. I mean I have to survive.

I'm not trying to preach or anything. The sole purpose of my writing this today is to just put it out there. Let the knowledge spread. Help kill uncertainty. When you get enough attention, people will line up to do research and confirm the findings. And when things add up and all you see are facts, then you can choose.

Updates.. let's see. Well, I managed 2 attend both wedding receptions 4 Nas n Kai. Hehe.. congratulations u guys. Moga berbahagia hingga ke anak cucu. 2 b honest, I usually dun make it a necessity to fulfill invitations (a habit I'm not really proud of n trying very hard 2 kick), but in tis case, since both of them are my friends, I figured it'd b nuttin short of unthoughtful if I didn't decide 2 attend. Haha.. d food at both receptions were yummy, not dat it mattered 2 me but it was certainly a delightful extra. I got 2 enjoy a few laughs with some good friends plus, I got 2 drive n jln2 around Melaka in d company of 2 lovely women I'm glad 2 call my best friends. Hehe.. so it was, as simple as I can put it, great. :)

On a different note, I jus finished a big portion of work tis week. It cud've been done a lot sooner, but a few expected problems caused a lil stretch on d timeline. Not uncommon in tis line of work. A slight relief, considering d amount of deliverables n d scale of d project. Let's hope I can maintain tis level of determination throughout d upcoming cycles. Haha.. I just found out dat they want all d text in d thing to use Century Gothic. Mase 1st cycle dulu xde pulak d reviewer tu mention about d font. Diorg ni mmg. Haha.. dulu ckp nk design different, tp nk tukar font cantik sikit pun xnak. Typical. Haha.. tis is jus how they work. Wat to do? Alas, as creatively as u might push urself 2 do these things, kids in school shall hav 2 make do with this type of mentality. As long as d people they turn 2 for guidance keep working n thinking like tis, they jus hav 2.

My dear Baby V has had her fair share of "battle scars" throughout these 4 years. Dents, scratches, cracks n dings. She's got them all. Although I'd gladly blame myself 4 those dat were directly caused by my own negligence, as car owners urselves, I bet u can relate to my agony of having to gleefully accept d ones dat weren't my fault.

I mean it's not uncommon. U always try ur best to take good care of ur car. But then one day u leave her 4 a few hours at a parking lot with high hopes dat today won't b another sad entry in ur miserable little virtual diary, only to be disappointed by a horrifying scratch on her door. It doesn't matter if it's big or small. It wasn't ur fault.

But wen it is ur doing, d guilt will always outweigh d actual damage. Especially wen u come so close to inflicting damage unto a living person as well.

I was leaving d Ampang Jaya Petronas wen I hit a 40-something man who suddenly appeared on d road. I remember wen it happened, I stepped on d brake pedal as hard I cud. D momentum sent him less than 1.5 meters away from d front of my car. It all happened so quickly. Before I got to finish shaking off d shock dat was freezing me, he was already gathering himself, picking up a set of envelope n papers n got up. Kental gak uncle ni. Thoughts rushed as I pulled my handbrake n got out.

As I was heading towards him I said to myself, "Ya Allah, mintak-mintak la uncle tu ok." At tis point he was already standing. I picked up a sandal, asking if he was ok as I handed it to him. I guess he was in shock as well. To my relief, I didn't get d samseng treatment. I offered to take him to a clinic, but he declined saying he was okay. People at d back were already honking as my car was right in d middle of d exit. After making another offer to take him to a clinic in which he declined yet again, I quickly got into d car n drove off.

Even before d fair success of d instant restoration, d guilt was there, overpowering my concern for d damage it brought to my car. It was poking my head like a kid with a stick playing with a dead lizard. Tis incident was definitely a wake up call for me. U can never be too sure of anything wen ur on d road. Always keep ur eyes open.

I'm sorry again, sir. Hope ur doing alright.

Movie nite with our nieces

I remember wen I was much younger, whenever we celebrate Raya in KL

Abg Tam wud take us out to watch a midnite movie.

As we were chatting n eating (mostly eating haha) at Nenek's house in Taman Bunga Raya yesterday on Aidiladha, Kak Siti suggested we go for a movie l8r. So wen I reached home, I quickly went online n managed to reserve a few tickets for a 9.30pm show at CapSquare. All was set, but then l8r dat afternoon Kak Izzah's mom called Mak n said dat Mimi n Arfah wanted to stay in Wangsa Melawati for a few days. N so, we decided dat it'd b fun to bring them along as well. Since der were no more seats at CapSquare, we decided to reserve new seats for a midnite show at KLCC.

Last nite's show was okay. Apart from cramping my legs (seriously, d leg room at TGV KLCC is jus messed up n stingy) n nearly falling asleep a couple of times (since I've already seen 2012), it was fun. Yeah.

One thing I really enjoyed about last nite was d smooth drive. Then again, it was already 3am wen we left KLCC. Haha.. if u count out d mess u get during Merdeka n New Year celebrations, Jalan Ampang is always a breeze after midnite. ^_^

After giving out flyers in Ampang, I had d chance 2 do sumthin I've always wanted 2 do 4 quite a while nw. A movie marathon! Cinema of choice? MBO at Galaxy Ampang. Well, I was in Ampang kan? It'd b nuttin short of idiotic if I didn't take advantage of dat. Haha.. it was cool cos I got a half an hour break b4 d 2nd movie started.

Nice day for a surf.

German filmmaker Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow) delivers yet another disaster movie to end all disaster movies. Well, at least until d next one comes out. It starts off with d discovery made by an Indian scientist Satnam (Jimi Mistry), a friend of one of our protagonists, geologist Dr Adrian Helmsley (British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor) who is informed dat elementary particles from solar flares (somehow caused by d alignment of planets) are heating up d Earth's core (simply put, because d sun is acting up, our planet is as doomed as a dead chicken inside a microwave oven), causing d crust 2 crack. This means u get earthquakes n surprise, surprise.. u get wave after wave of tsunamis. With 75% of d earth's surface covered with water, u can imagine d rest. D movie tries 2 educate in d 1st half an hour or so. N right when u feel like ditching d next class, d firework starts. Gloriously. I wonder how in d blue hell d next disaster movie will top d visual effects tis one has 2 offer.

There is also a very chilling message being conveyed as u get 2 d part with d arks. I'm reminded of wat d Joker said to Batman during d famous interrogation room scene in TDK.

".. see their morals, their so called code, it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you, when the chips are down, these civilized people, they'll eat each other.."

Survival of d fittest or in tis case, d wealthiest? In d end, if d dying Earth doesn't kill us, we can look 4ward 2 being devoured by each other. Humanity is its own enemy. ^_^

Have u ever seen "Donnie Darko" or "Southland Tales"? If u haven't n u'd like 2 do so, I can lend u d movies. If u hav seen them n u found urself disgusted by d choice u made 2 spend d precious 4 hours of ur life watching them, hehe.. I recommend u stay away from tis one. It's another freak fiesta by Richard Kelly. To tell u d truth, I enjoyed tis movie. N those two 4 dat matter. Movies like these make u think. They give u d power 2 interpret d messages being given. N they certainly play with ur mood. Sweetly scary n disturbingly enlightening, it's an oxymoron of its own class. Tis "pemalas" director gives u all d clues visually n tells u to make ur own conclusions. Based on a segment called "Button, Button" (which was based on a short story by Richard Matheson) from d 80's remake of d old tv show "The Twilight Zone", d movie tells d story of d Lewis couple, Arthur n Norma (James Marsden n Cameron Diaz), d clueless recipients of a mysterious box containing a button unit. D man who gave them d package, Arlington Steward (Frank Langella), tells them that two things will happen shud they choose 2 push d button. One, somewhere, someone whom they don't know will die. Two, they'll receive a payment of 1 million dollars. Decisions, decisions.. If u still haven't guessed, d Corvette-owning-but-financially-troubled couple chose 2 push d button n before they cud say "Oh shit, why the hell did we do that?" a thousand times, their lives are slowly (very slowly.. very) sucked into a dimension of liquid boxes (haha) n a peculiar bunch of zombified people with bloody noses. I'll be damned. It's like we're at d Sepang Circuit during F1 season!

Some people will like this movie, but I bet most won't. As I left my seat n walked towards d hall exit, I heard constant curses n complaints like "Peninglah!" n "Bodoh nye movie.." It's not everyone's cup of tea. N I believe Mr Kelly, who is definitely laughing at d whole world, realizes it.

Can u guess: Arlington Steward is dead n guess who takes over his body?

Menarik? Gi la tengok. Hehe.. when I got into my car n checked my phone there were many missed calls. Sorry folks. To my gf: I'm so sorry dear! When u called, my phone was on silent mode since morning at Bang Jan's house. Kesian my gf risau n call byk kali. Nnt I belanje cake eh? ^_^

Overall, a nice experience. My advice, cover up. It'll b chilly. ^_^

I can honestly say it was d best beef burger I've ever had in me entire life so far! I'm serious! I've never had a burger tis awesome! At d start of d week we originally planned 2 hav a Friday dinner at Black Canyon inside JJ Keramat. Opting to eat here instead.. was indeed a wise choice. Haha.. thanks dear!

I had some business at Taman Connaught yesterday evening so I tot I'd head out a lil early to Cheras. L8r, dinner was waiting for me n friends at Q-Thai Restaurant in Taman Minang Ria.

I'd bet many can't name em one by one.

It was really worth it for RM22++ per head. D drinks were a lil pricey,but d portion was good enuf since they poured them into those big mugs. Bayangkan teh tarik die RM2.50? Hehe.. n RM3 for d hot lemon tea. But like i said, sedap n puas minum.

It was already 11.15 pm when we finished n earlier Adie gave d idea of catching a midnight movie. Initially we wanted to go for "Inglorious Basterds" but since der were no midnight shows for dat movie, we went for "The Time Traveller's Wife" instead. I'd say it's a decent movie. But I agree with Adie. The movie focused more on Eric Bana's character, so d title's a lil off. Anyway, like all adaptations, fans of d book wud normally think dat d latter's better.

A nice dinner n a movie 2 conclude d gathering. Great fun guys! Hehe.. so, bile nk gi lg? ^_^

Well it's no secret 2 my gf dat I've been busy these past couple of weeks. It's been a while since we last had a decent date. Hehe.. sorry about dat dear. ^_^ N so, since I've finally got some free time these past few days, I decided to bring her 2 a nice place 4 dinner. It was supposed 2 b a surprise, but dat didn't fly well. Haha.. never mind. After going thru a couple of restaurant selections, we agreed 2 head 2 Tony Roma's: Ribs - Seafood - Steaks at Pavillion KL.

If ur a freelancer n u find urself being duped into doing spec work, stop doing it immediately! Ur killing d market not jus 4 urself, but 4 ur peers as well.

What is Spec Work u ask? Lie To Me tells d story of Dr. Cal Lightman (Tim Roth), a psychologist who is an expert in detecting lies and reading body language, especially microexpressions. And he's really good. If you lie to him, he'll know. D very 1st scene of d 1st episode, we get 2 c Lightman obtaining a location from a bomber without even needing d nut 2 talk. He's that good. So under the Lightman Group, he leads a team of fellow experts in assisting investigations of law enforcement agencies.

I've finished watching d entire 1st season (argh.. kan dh kena tunggu!) U cn check out all those 13 episodes here.

I'm currently watching The Spectacular Spider-man on YouTube. Tis incarnation sees Peter Parker go thru high school with good friends Harry Osborn n Gwen Stacy (also d main love interest). D character designs r simply superb, but wat i like most about d series is how they cleverly put plots in place, making d series very progressive in terms of storyline. Also, u stil get the weekly villain concept, which is great 4 kids. D dialogues r witty n funny n wat's most important is dat u can bear hearing our hero narrate his every move. 4 me, if u can make a character talk n think loudly n cracking jokes non-stop while bashing d hell outta bad guys, n make people love watching it, then u hav urself a winner. It's d kinda stuff dat made Spidey d legend he is now. Watch out for an action scene wer our hero watches in awe as the Green Goblin backflips off his moving glider (as it crashes thru d glass windows) from one end of a building and lands back on it as d glider reaches d other end. Hehe.. dat was really funny. N for a villain, Gobby is really cool!

A highly skilled swordsman with a dark past helps those in need in order to redeem himself. I used 2 sit in front of d TV evry Saturday morning during my secondary school years waiting 4 tis 2 b on. I like d US dubbed version better. D hero sounds like a tomboy in d original Japanese version. I mean, come on! Tis guy used to be called Battousai The Slasher!

9. The Simpsons

The longest running American sitcom, with 21 seasons n a total of 443 episodes so far!

10. The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron

A boy genius with a knack for inventions dat usually go wrong. Although he always ends up saving d day. Brought to u by d crazy dude responsible for Ace Ventura n Kung Pow: Enter The Fist.

I got my RM24 back. Thanks 2 d kakak yg berani bersuara smlm.

The ugly truth is this. Two of d staff der were VERY rude. D first staff argued with d kakak, (with hand gestures, though none of em obscene) as he tried desperately to tell her off. Defeated, he stormed off (without apologizing) into d office behind d big preview screen. A few moments later, another staff came out n arrogantly raised her hand n without looking at d customers waiting, she signaled everyone 2 get their refunds at counter 6. No apologies. None watsoever. Not even d slightest hint of empathy.

It's simple. If refunds were a problem, then they shud've acted swiftly n got d show back on. It was d ending. We missed more than just over 7 minutes of screentime. It was d bloody ending! It takes away d fun. N it takes away d feel. It's aggravating to watch a DVD n find out as u reach d last 10 minutes of d movie, dat d remaining unwatched portion cannot b viewed becos d disc is spoilt. Haha..

Kalau ikut aku, boleh je tunggu. Rewind je la balik. But nothing was done. D staff xde training ke? Xde langsung staff yg masuk n explain or apologize or anything. Zero for communication.

Last night, those two proved dat TGV KLCC needs to improve their communication with customers. N they shud train their staff better. Besides d uncomfortable seats n other annoyances, we now have another reason to think hard before we consider going for another movie der.

More reason to head to CapSquare. Better seats. Free parking. ^_^

In my opinion, d lines wudn't b as effective if it weren't for d delivery of the players. Back then, d Malaysian film industry had Rahim Razali, Ahmad Yatim, Ahmad Tamimi Siregar, Eman Manan, Yusof Wahab and Zulkifli Zain as leading men. Like in the 70's in India, people practically worshipped Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty and Dharmendra. In the US, they had Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, Frank Sinatra and Clint Eastwood. They were young and they were angry at the world. N dat made them obvious choices for protagonists.

It's every Kamen Riders fan's wet dream. Hehe.. if I'm not mistaken d last time d family gathering was tis big, was during d final episodes of Black RX (Burakku Aru Ekkusu) where he got kicked in d ass pretty bad n needed help from various riders. Hehe.. nonetheless, tis is so cool! It's like Kamen Rider Family Day. U'd have Shadow Moon slicing cake for everyone. And u'll have fun beating up the Sword Saint Bilgenia like a pinata.

FYI, Kotaro Minami was Kamen Rider Black (Burakku) before he became Black RX (after d destruction of Gorgom and d arrival of the Crisis Empire), so basically those two are the same guy. Hehe, here we hav Kotaro from the "Burakku Aru Ekkusu" world coming to aid the Kotaro from the "Burakku" world. It seems dat the parallel universe theory applies here. Duh!

Money isn't everything. But everything needs money. It's that simple. Senang je. We can twist it, we can turn and look away, we can ignore it as much as we want but the reality will still remain as it is. We need money.

Susah kan takde duit? I know the feeling. It’s not uncommon. We work our asses off everyday only to find that at the end of the month (even at the beginning, for some of us), we’ve worked only to survive. Kita bekerja kuat2, last2 duit abis macam tu je. Bayar kereta, sewa rumah, insurans, pinjaman PTPTN la, pinjaman MARA la. Nak bagi parents lagi. Bulan2 kena bagi kat mak bapak, baru berkat. Tapi kalau tak mampu?

Alhamdulillah, sesetengah kita yang gaji besar dapat la jugak save some untuk emergency. Backup plan ade. Bagus. Bukan nak fikir negative, tapi kalau kita dah guna and tiba2 ade plak lagi satu emergency lepas tu? Kalau kita sakit? Tak ke susah? Ini realiti. Takpe, rezeki tu ade. Memang betul. Rezeki memang jatuh dari langit.

Sampai bila kita nak duduk dalam keadaan macam ni? Takde duit je. Until we die? Smpi dah kahwin? Sanggup ke kita bawak anak2 kita dalam keadaan yang sama? Sampai bila nak tebalkan muka and bagitau kat mak and bapak kita bulan ni tak dapat bagi lagi?

Tanya diri sendiri. Are all the things that we own now, things that we want, or things that we can AFFORD? Alhamdulillah, boleh la pakai MyVi ke, Vios ke or the new Camry. Bagus la. Tapi tanya diri sendiri. Apa yang kita nak dan apa yang kita mampu? Takkan impian kita takat tu je? Come on la. Orang yang mampu beli BMW pun mimpi nak bawak Ferrari.

Rezeki takkan jatuh dari langit. Unless if you’re standing under a bridge and people throw food at you. Tapi peluang rezeki boleh datang dari mana2 je. Kita je. Nak ambik ke? Kawan2, kita cerita banyak pun tak guna. Banyak alasan boleh kita bagi untuk tak berjaya. Nak seribu daya. Tak nak seribu dalih. Nak berjaya we have to think it. Kita kena berfikir yang kita akan berjaya. And take action. Make the move.

I keep praying for strength. Hehe.. sometimes I forget d fact that The Almighty works in mysterious ways. Wen u pray for something, it wud drive u insane to suddenly adapt to a zap of reality change wudn't it? To be strong when ur mind n body aren't ready for such strength. Kinda like having an ant turned into a bear. The biological and chemical attributes wud b so twisted and unbalanced, it won't work. The confused bear might stil think it can stick to walls. Crappy analogy, but bear with me. Hehe.. get it? Bear with me. Hahaha.. haha.. hah.. hummm... erm. Ok.

That's why instead, we're given opportunities to reach our goal. I've always loved d saying, "It's not the destination. It's d journey." Only through d hardships and the pain of labor, will we truly enjoy the fruit of our efforts.

H1N1.

I remember an ustaz who was giving a tazkirah before Friday prayer at Asy-Syakirin said something about d name. He said dat in order to shake people and let them know how serious tis current pandemic is, we shud call d disease by its other name. Selsema babi or swine flu.

"Kalau sebut H1N1 orang x takut or jijik. Sebut selsema babi. Aa.. baru orang takut. "

It was intended as a joke. But in my opinion, it's not a bad idea at all. It is a serious matter. People from all over the world hav been dying because of tis disease.

Of cos, if detected earlier, it won't hav to come to that.

Nearly everyone who had been infected hav had these symptoms:

Fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, body aches, headaches, chills and fatigue (like regular flu).
Diarrhea and vomiting

It is strongly suggested dat u go 4 a checkup shud u experience any 1 of these. Duh!

CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) recommends taking these steps for prevention:

Wash your hands regularly with soap and water, especially after coughing or sneezing. Or, use an alcohol-based hand cleaner if soap and water are not available.
Avoid close contact -- that is, being within six feet -- with people who have flu-like symptoms.
Avoid touching your mouth, nose, or eyes. That's not easy to do, so keep those hands clean.
If you have flu-like symptoms -- fever plus at least cough or sore throat or other flu symptoms -- stay home for seven days after symptoms begin or until you've been symptom-free for 24 hours -- whichever is longer.
The CDC does not recommend using a face mask or respirator in community or home settings. However, the CDC says that people at increased risk of severe flu illness may consider wearing a N-95 respirator or face mask in crowded settings in communities where swine flu is circulating or when taking care of a person with flu-like illness. People who have or are suspected of having swine flu should wear a face mask, if available and tolerable, when sharing common spaces with other household members, when outside the home, or when breastfeeding.

Ape maksudnye kalau seseorang tu terlanggar crack kat jalan and hampir terjatuh, pastu baru je nak berdiri betul-betul and cover macho, tibe2 jatuh plak dahan pokok atas bahu die?

Nasib baik x kena muka or mate. Nasib baik dahan kecik je. Kalau x teruk gak. Hehe.. peristiwa ni jadi betul2 kat depan aku kat pintu masuk Masjid Jamek Jumaat lepas. Kesian plak aku tgk pakcik tu. Nasib baik x cedera.

Perhaps d redundancy was a sign 4 me. Sometimes u can learn stuff from things dat happen to other people. Obstacles are a big part of life. U go thru them evryday. N u can bet dat lotsa of em r waiting 4 u out der. Some of em, out of nowhere. It's jus a matter of surviving.

I hope I survive those cracks n those falling branches coming my way.

For the past several days, my life's been about wonderful gifts. Hehe.. I must say I find that to be delightful. On the weekends, I took my gf and her sister (via an elusive "shortcut" hehe..) to find a badminton bag for Uncle Rahman. Father's Day gift.

Pilihan No 1 dunia. Hehe..

OP at Sogo. Wow!

When we were done going around Pertama Complex and Sogo, we decided to head for Pavillion, a mall which I'm happy to say that finally, I know a shortcut to now. There, unintentionally, we found gifts as well.

Monday came and we found ourselves celebrating something more wonderful than gifts. Our 3rd anniversary. Hehe.. our gift to each other that day was our time. As an extra, we also got to have a nice dinner at a cool restaurant in Ampang. It's called Intai-Intai. I tell you, the food was good. Yum yum!

I can't believe it's been 3 years dear. We've been thru a lot. A lot. And you've always been patient with me. Hehe.. now more than ever, I'm glad I gathered the courage to ask u out that very first time. You're my best friend, my best advisor and my best critic. Thank you for always being there for me. I love ya, girl. Ur a gift. One I am n shall always treasure indeed.

23rd then came with a revenge. Of The Fallen. This one I consider a gift to myself. Hehe.. seriously, TF fans shud definitely go check tis one out. More screentime for the robots, and more action! Hehe.. it's like Michael Bay's trying to go for the record of most explosions ever to be filmed in an action movie. I think some time in the future, the Academy Awards are gonna come up with something like that.

{Okay, I'm gonna give you guys a tiny spoiler. Hehe.. Optimus Prime does something he would always do in his previous incarnations. Seriously. It's like he's not Optimus if he doesn't d... and then come back from the d... }

Gifts and wonderful things. Those two can't always be the same thing. But I'm happy that at least this time, they are. ^_^

A Coffee Guy

If anyone asks, my father was a coffee man. He was. He'd take instant coffee over tea any day. He always loved a hot mug of Nescafe. But when he was pushing 60, with high blood pressure and diabetes hanging on his shoulders, the lady that took an oath to take care of him would always deprive him of such delight. It was not an act of cruelty. It doesn't take a genius to realize that. Because of this, he would always turn to his children, as they would always make him a mug despite Mak nagging and telling us it's wrong. ^_^

But Abah would always add some water to dilute his favorite drink. I dunno. Maybe it was a small way for him to put my mother's worries at ease.

I think I've inherited his love for the sweet. Hehe.. I know, I know.. I should know better. But that's not the point. The point I'm trying to make here is that, whenever I find myself enjoying a hot mug of unadulterated Nescafe, I will always remember the sound of my father sipping his coffee in delight. He was a great man and he did everything in his power to bring happiness to his family. And we love him for it. And that's why even in the simplest ways, we remember him with an abundance of love.
